The Edeophone was the top of the range instrument from concertina maker Lachenal. I was fortunate enough to be able to obtain this one from a friend who had bought it from the grand-daughter of its owner, a Yorkshire miner. It was manufactured in about 1918. It is in perfect playing condition, having been restored by Andrew Norman, of Nutley, East Sussex.
